About Grand Staff
Music quizzes whose staves are drawn from pure geometry and whose facts were written twice, independently, before a question was asked.
Where the questions come from
Two sources. The notation – every note on both staves, nine key signatures, time
signatures, note values, eight open guitar chords, a keyboard octave – is DRAWN from
geometry, and every drawn position was decoded and verified against theory by an independent
review before a single question was generated. The trivia – composers, orchestral families,
Italian terms – was written twice by independent authors and compared value by value: all 68
keys agreed, including the two era boundary cases both authors filed identically.
What the site deliberately avoids
Ear training is absent for now: it deserves real audio, not a workaround, and it will
arrive as its own engine or not at all. Song-and-artist trivia is absent by design – charts
churn and rights hover; the staff does neither.
What playing costs you
Nothing: no account, no download, no tracking of your answers. Your best score per quiz is
stored in your own browser and nowhere else.
