Rhythm Quiz

This rhythm quiz runs 17 questions on time signatures and note values, drawn on the line and counted out in the page.

What the 17 questions count

Written rhythm has two halves, and the quiz works both. Time signature questions put a drawn meter in front of you and ask what it tells the player — the time signature quiz thread. Note value questions draw the shapes themselves and ask what each is worth in the count. Seventeen questions in all, every one anchored to something you can see on the line.

Drawn, then verified

No scanned notation appears anywhere here. The time signatures and note values are rendered from pure geometry, and each drawn item was decoded and checked against theory by an independent review before question generation began — 59 items site-wide, zero disputes. Every shape you are asked about is drawn exactly as theory says it should be, which matters in a quiz where the shape is the whole question.

The format

Four options per question. The moment you commit, the verdict lands — right or wrong, with the correct answer displayed so nothing stays unresolved. At the end of the seventeen, a full review replays the entire set, and your best score is saved in your browser. The whole thing runs in the page without a signup.

Rhythm reading rewards short, repeated passes more than one long sitting. A quiz that marks instantly and keeps your best result is built for exactly that habit: run it, miss a few, read the shown answers, and run it again tomorrow. The counting settles sooner than you would expect.
